About

As our world increasingly struggles with the Crisis of Disconnection, the systems meant to support us are failing. From political instability in the United States to bureaucratic stagnation in Canada and much more, we are witnessing a collapse of individual power. Institutions feel like they are in freefall and more people feel invisible and powerless than we have in a long time. Simply showing up is no longer enough. We must reclaim our ability to connect, lead, and act.

The Personal Engagement Institute is the global home for this reclamation. We believe personal engagement is the starting point for all social change. It is the bridge between your inner purpose and your impact on the world. While others treat engagement as a tool for workplace productivity, civic pride, or economic mobility, we see it as a human right. We define personal engagement as the act of choosing the same things again and again.

Built on thirty-five years of real-world evidence and deep research from rural Alberta to São Paulo, and from Italy to Nebraska, our frameworks have been tested in schools, governments, and nonprofits. With over fifty publications and dozens of projects as our base, we don’t just study disconnection—we design the solutions for vitality.

Through our “Five Connections” framework, we help individuals change their lives to change the world. For organizations, we provide the blueprints to turn stagnant bureaucracy into a vibrant culture of agency. The Personal Engagement Institute is more than a consultancy; we are a movement. Join us in building a future where everyone has the power to engage.
